April is National Donate Life Month and leaders at Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey hope an upcoming event will get more students under the age of 22 to become organ donors. The event, which will feature a speech by Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White, L&C President Dale Chapman and a video presentation, will also serve as the kickoff of a local competition called the Be a Hero! Donor Awareness Campaign.
L&C Vice President of Student Engagement Sean Hill says organizers have a few goals for this event.
