Officials with the Illinois State Police (ISP) and the American Legion are gearing up for the 44th Annual American Legion Youth Police Camp (ALYPC). The camp will be held again this year at the Illinois State Police Academy in Springfield, IL. It will run from June 26th through July 1st.

Riley says they will be conducting classes related to police work including introduction to patrol, crime scene and SWAT. On the military side, the National Guard will be coming to do drills and team building excercises. There will also be a fishing derby and a trip to the State Capital and Governor's Mansion.
