Illinois has hit a record high when it comes to exporting goods to Mexico.  More than three-billion-dollars worth of Illinois products shipped to Mexico in the first half of the year, a 13-point-seven-percent increase over last year.  Meanwhile Governor Pat Quinn is in Minneapolis today, attending the annual meeting of the Midwest U.S.-Japan Association.

He's scheduled to meet with Japanese business leaders about strengthening economic ties to Illinois and bringing more Japanese businesses to the state.
