While some parts of Illinois are seeing drought conditions improve, other parts are still in the grips of the state's worst drought in decades.  The latest report from the United States Drought Monitor shows that a little over eight-percent of the state is out of drought conditions.

Over 91-percent of the state is at least abnormally dry.  The northwest part of Illinois is seeing the worst conditions now, where just under four-percent of the state is in an extreme drought.
