Good weather continues to give Illinois crops a boost, as we hear in the weekly crop progress report.  Producers have been reporting timely rain showers that are helping out fields.  State crop statistician Brad Suma says 91% of soybeans are blooming and 68% are setting pods. 

He says 79% of the soybean crop is rated in good to excellent condition.

92% of oats have been harvested and the third cutting of alfalfa is now 16% complete.  Average statewide topsoil moisture stands at 1% very short, 6% short, 85% adequate, and 8% surplus.
