IDOT is reporting dangerous driving conditions in much of southern Illinois.  Drivers should consider whether the trip is worth it before deciding to head out.  Major roads in Marion and Mount Vernon are 100-percent covered in ice.  Interstate 24 from Kentucky is completely covered in ice and snow and I-57 into Mt. Vernon is also bad.

Some roads are also slick and slippery in the Metro-East.  I-55 and I-70 from St. Louis to 270 has spotty slick areas.  And I-55 from 270 to Litchfield also has some trouble spots.
