Although there wasn't as much snow and ice as you might expect in a typical winter, an IDOT engineer says there is no shortage of potholes this spring.  Joe Monroe tells The Big Z crews have stayed busy making repairs to their highways, since frozen precipitation is not the only thing that causes damage.

He says I-255 in St. Clair county has some of the most prevalent pothole problems, since that section of the interstate is the oldest.  Monroe says crews are working on fixing roads around the district every day that it is safe to do so.
