Lawmakers in the Illinois House have passed "Right to Try" legislation.  Illinois would join about 13 other states with similar laws, allowing terminally ill patients to try experimental drugs that are still in the testing stage.

Health insurers would not have to cover the cost of such drugs.  The bill now goes to the Senate for a vote.
