Illinois records eight consecutive months of year-over-year increases in home sales. The Illinois Association of Realtors says statewide home sales in February totaled almost 65-hundred homes sold, up 15-point-one-percent compared to last February. Statewide, the median home price was 117-thousand dollars in February.
That was down more than eight-percent from the 127-thousand-500-dollar median price in February of last year. The Realtors say statewide sales figures for February are the best since 2008, just before the recession.
