Those who would mismanage state government can look forward to ten more years of William G. Holland. He was sworn in for a third term as auditor general Wednesday.

While double-checking and holding people accountable is one thing, Holland says what he possesses now includes longevity, continuity, and institutional memory: “There are precious few people in government today who have the ability to take the long view and assess where we have been and how this impacts where we might go. In fact, this kind of personal experience is a rare luxury.”
