With some of us have already finished our holiday shopping, many of us haven't even started and scammers are well aware that frazzled consumers may let their guard down as the countdown to Christmas is on.  The Better Business Bureau says there are a few common warnings you should keep in mind so you don't become a victim whether in person or online.

Thetford says if you are checking out a company you have not done business with in the past, look them up on the BBB website.  http://stlouis.bbb.org/
