Representatives from the Highland Education Association will meet with leaders in the Highland School District as the two sides attempt to finalize a three-year deal with the help of a federal mediator today. The two sides worked out the details of the agreement Tuesday but have not taken a vote on a new deal since negotiations stalled last weekend over the issue of pay.

Teachers have been without a contract since the end of August and officially went on strike one week ago. All classes and athletic events have been cancelled since, however district officials say classes could resume Friday if a deal is reached today.
