A Highland man will spend 90 years in prison for producing child pornography. That sentence was handed down against 21-year old, Christopher Horton Friday in U.S. District Court in East St. Louis. Horton was charged with six counts of Production of Child Pornography after authorities discovered 57 video files on Horton's cell phone depicting sexual acts with three children who were students of his when he worked as a martial arts instructor in Belleville between May 2012 and February 9, 2013.  He also allegedly attempted to engage a fourth minor in explicit conduct to produce an additional recording.

In addition to his prison term, Horton was ordered to pay $3,250 in restitution to the victims of his offenses, and a $600 special assessment. This case was investigated by the Madison County Sheriff's Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Metro East Cyber Crimes and Analysis Task Force, the Highland Police Department and the Belleville Police Department.

Horton could have more years added to his prison term as he is facing several counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse in the Circuit Courts of Madison and St. Clair counties. Those charges are still pending.
