Heavy rain and the lack of recent rain around the region could combine this weekend to cause concern for anyone in the Riverbend that lives or works along area creeks and rivers. Waves of rain are expected to begin during the day on Saturday, so National Weather Service Meteorologist Doug Tilly tells The Big Z this weekend will be a wet one.

The National Weather Service is calling for waves of rain this weekend, with rainfall amounts of 4 inches possible. Tilly says that will bring the threat of flash flooding and river flooding to the area, and advises you to pay attention to weather alerts as they are issued.
