A pair of healthcare organizations is headed for the altar.
Effective Jan. 1, the Illinois Hospital Association and the Metropolitan Chicago Healthcare Council will merge to become the Illinois Health and Hospital Association, still known as IHA.
“Health care is in this period of transformation,” says IHA's A.J. Wilhelmi, who will be a vice president of the combined organization, “which means quality improvement, enhanced care coordination, population health, and making sure people get the right care at the right place and at the right time.”
