The new proprietor of The Hawg Pit in Grafton says she won't be able to effectively host music at her bar without the use of city-owned lots.  Adrienne Hayn, the new operator of the business, says the previous owners had used the adjoining lots free of charge.  She says she is willing to pay the city to use them.

Hayn says she wants to move the music to the side of the building.  Previously, bands and DJs had set up in front, allegedly instigating noise complaints from some neighbors.  She tells The Big Z a special meeting was called this week to consider the proposal to use the adjoining lots.

By a 4-2 vote the vote was defeated.  The only two aldermen voting in favor of the plan were Bobbie Amburg and Roger Crone.  She says the plan now is to talk to each alderman individually.  Attempts to contact the city for comment were unsuccessful.
