Organizers of a local haunted house want you to know there is no reason to cross the river for a good scare. The Apocalypse Haunted House is located at the Alton YWCA on 3rd Street, and will be open Wednesday through Friday night. There is also a charitable component to this haunted house - half of the money from ticket sales go back to the "Y".
The Apocalypse was located in an old warehouse last year, so Tom Riddle, creator of The Apocalypse, says this building gave them a variety of options.
He says the haunted house is based on end of the world scenes - no witches, goblins or movie characters. Tickets are $15 for adults, and children 12 and under are $7. For more information, follow the link: https://www.facebook.com/apocalypsehaunt/info
