Corn and soybeans have progressed more than you’d expect for this time of year. 89 percent of the corn and 94 percent of the soybeans have been harvested, both ahead of the averages. Brad Schwab of the USDAs crop statistics service says it was cool and dry in most of the state last week, with 53 percent of the topsoil moisture reported adequate and 46 percent reported less than adequate.
