A local woman accused in the drug overdose deaths of two men in the Metro East, has been sentenced to four years in prison.  28 year old Angela Halliday pleaded guilty in Madison County Court of delivering controlled substances in connection with the deaths of Benjamin Berkenbile of Worden and Joshua Rogers of Godfrey.  Halliday has already been in jail awaiting trial and will be credited with that time served.

Once she is released, she'll serve four years probation and drug treatment.  County prosecutors had sought six years for Halliday, who in both cases drove with the victims to Missouri to purchase heroin in exchange for prescription drugs.  Berkenbile overdosed at his home in April of 2011, and Rogers died inside the Redwood Motel in Godfrey less than a month later.
