A Moro woman is facing new charges in connection with a heroin overdose in Wood River earlier this summer.   29 year old Angella R. Halliday is charged with aggravated battery after authorities say she purchased heroin with another woman and injected the victim with the drug.  The victim overdosed but was revived by paramedics.

Halliday has been on parole since May for a previous conviction of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance with 1000 feet of a school.  Halliday was also connected to a case involving the overdose death of two people, but charges in both cases were dropped because the victims injected the heroin in Missouri but died in Illinois.   In this case, authorities say the drug was injected by Halliday into the victim at a home in Wood River.   Halliday is being held on a $250,000 bond in the Madison County Jail.
