The Fall Veto Session that begins Wednesday is expected to be fairly uneventful, but the sitting Governor wants to pass a minimum wage increase before the governor-elect takes office. Democrat State Senator Bill Haine of Alton says while he recognizes the voters of the state sent a message that they also want to see an increase, he wants to make sure any such move is done correctly.
And that, according to Haine, may not happen before Governor Pat Quinn leaves office.

Haine has several goals lined up for the coming year, including working with Bruce Rauner on health care, developing a road bill, and a capital bill to put people back to work.
