The Illinois Department of Transportation has awarded state construction and road repair contracts to area contractors under a new wave of state capital plan projects. State Senator Bill Haine ofAltonsays the contracts will pump over $100 million into our local economy, providing thousands of private sector jobs to workers in the Metro East.
