A fourth man has been found guilty and sentenced to 15 years in prison for his roll in connection with a beating and robbery of an Alton man in January. The 55-year-old victim is recovering from the attack, and 38 year old Curtis Wallace of St. Louis has pleaded guilty to armed robbery while a charge of attempted murder was dropped in exchange for his guilty plea.
Wallace, along with 27-year-old Christopher Hill of St. Louis, was armed with a knife, wrench and a gun and attacked the man at his Pearl Street home on January 16. The men were apparently looking for drugs and drug paraphernalia at the time of the attack. Two other suspects have already pleaded guilty for being involved in the incident. Wallace must serve at least half of his sentence. Hill, pleaded guilty to armed robbery in late March and was sentenced to 18 years in jail.
