If you would like to learn more about a career in the field of environmental sustainability, but don’t know where to get started, you can learn more through the Lewis and Clark Community College for its Green Speaker Series. There are more than 2.7-million people employed in ‘Green Collar Jobs’ in the United States according to recent statistics, and there are courses offered at the college in Godfrey that could help you join them.
Lewis & Clark’s Director of Sustainability Nate Keener says this speaker series will provide a first-hand account of their careers.

The series runs from 3-5 p.m. every Thursday until May 1 in the Science Building, Room 115. Topics in coming weeks will include job-hunting in the “Green Industry,” sustainable architecture, prairie restoration and sustainable landscapes, and recycling and entrepreneurship.
