Police in Grafton are apparently focusing their search for a missing woman on a culvert that empties into the Mississippi River.   Grafton Police tell the Big Z they are still treating the disappearance of 42-year-old Heather Bardsley as a missing person or endangered person case and are not ready to treat it as a recovery operation.

Bardsley hasn’t been seen since the night after Christmas when she was reportedly dropped off near her home.  Grafton Police Chief Marshal Lewis says divers have checked a culvert that drains into the Mississippi River, but came upon a log jam.   He tells the Big Z they need the river to drop a little more to get back in there for a closer look.

Bardsley was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans and zebra print rubber rain boots.  Again, Lewis says they will treat this as a missing person case until  there is reason not to.  If you have information on her whereabouts, you’re asked to call Grafton Police at 618-786-3354.
