The river town of Grafton has a number of restaurants, but no grocery stores.  That could be changing at some point, but probably not as soon as was thought this spring.  Back in March, there was some optimism a locally owned operation would provide a service to the town that has been absent for a number of years.

Grafton Mayor Tom Thompson says they may need to rethink how to make that happen following recent conversations with the couple that had taken out an option on property in the middle of town.

Thompson comments

He says the plan moving forward is to help a potential suitor to come in and put up a small grocery store with securing the land and improving access.
