Picking a date to fire off the fireworks display in Grafton has been a bit more difficult than expected, after flooding cancelled the original Independence Day celebration.  The first plan was to shoot them off at the end of the month, but the city council changed the date at its meeting last week to September 5.  Now, a special council meeting has been called for tomorrow night with the intention of changing the date again.

Mayor Tom Thompson says the hope is to return the fireworks to July 24th.

Tomorrow night’s special city council meeting will be held at 7pm at Grafton City Hall.
