Governor Pat Quinn is preparing for his annual holiday trip to visit Illinois troops overseas. It's the governor's seventh journey to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany, which treats soldiers injured in Iraq and Afghanistan. Quinn will personally deliver thousands of handmade holiday crafts made by school children across Illinois and host a dinner for some local soldiers.

The trip marks the culmination of Quinn promoting a variety of programs to help veterans and active military members.  The governor leaves tonight.
