Christmas Wonderland at Alton's Rock Spring Park wraps up in a little less than two weeks, and crowds continue to please members of the Grandpa Gang. Families have been seeing the millions of lights and displays at the park since the day after Thanksgiving, and will have an extra couple of days after Christmas to take in the sights this year.
The final day has been rescheduled for December 28. Grandpa Gang Leader Bob Osbourne organizers says crowds have been pretty good.
He also says vandalism has been non-existent, and credits increased security measures. The cost to see the display this year is $7 for cars and small vans, and $1 per person for vehicles with 10 or more passengers. The Christmas Wonderland display hours are 6-9 p.m. on weekdays, and 5-9 p.m. on the weekends.
