The Village of Godfrey has finished installing new playground equipment at the park behind Village Hall. The new playground at Homer Adams Park was mostly covered by a Madison County Parks Enhancement Program (PEP) Grant. The total cost of the project is about $100,000.
Park & Recreation Executive Director Caughran says while the playground is now ready for use, there will be an official unveiling at the Park and Recreation Committee meeting on Friday, May 13.

The previous equipment had been there since 1977. The PEP Grant covers about 90% of the total cost.
