A relatively new road in Godfrey is now going to be under the village’s jurisdiction. The Illinois Department of Transportation has assessed the value of Beuttel Road and the adjoining North Service Road at $10,000. Once funding has been secured and the jurisdictional transfer agreement has been completed, the state will issue a check for that amount to be deposited in the village’s Motor Fuel Tax account.
The Village’s Director of Maintenance Jim Lewis describes the new addition to Godfrey streets.

In other village board action, trustees approved the purchase of a new computer for the Park & Recreation Department at a cost capped at $1,200, and gave Park & Recreation Director Kimberly Caughran authorization to seek a grant that if awarded to Godfrey would go to prop up the efforts at the Discovery Garden at LaVista Park.
