Whether or not Godfrey should change its stance on gaming businesses that have eyes on Godfrey will be discussed this evening at Village Hall. Godfrey Mayor Mike McCormick tells The Big Z a conversation is planned for tonight's Finance Committee meeting.

McCormick says the village did not pass an ordinance to eliminate video gaming when it was first introduced a couple of years ago, but resolved to limit the businesses that could host them to the ones that were already doing business in Godfrey. To have video gaming, state law stipulates a business must have a liquor license that allows for the sale of alcoholic beverages by the drink. Tonight's meeting starts shortly after 6:00.
