Owners of The Round Table Restaurant in Godfrey have picked up the pieces and are ready to reopen after fire last July gutted the business. The grand opening celebration is today, with an opening at 6am. The Round Table is located along Godfrey Road, just south of Stamper Lane.
The fire started in the rear of the building, near the kitchen and two walk-in coolers, and was discovered by an employee coming in to start their shift around 4:00am July 19. The roof came down into the dining room as the fire progressed. Jun Construction has been in charge of the rebuilding process. The owners say they plan to be open daily at 6am, 7 days a week.
