The Godfrey Fire Protection District is making final preparations for what may be the biggest funeral procession seen in the village.  St. Louis County Police Officer Blake Snyder, a Riverbend native, will be laid to rest on Thursday at Godfrey's Valhalla Memorial Park.  Some local businesses are offering their parking lots for anyone that wants to line the final leg of the route to pay respects to Snyder and his family.

Godfrey Fire Protection District Chief Erik Kambarian, tells The Big Z they are preparing for what is expected to be heavy traffic early Thursday afternoon.

The motorcade is expected to arrive in the Riverbend anytime between Noon and 2pm on Thursday, heading down the Great River Road to Clifton Terrace, continuing on West Delmar Avenue to Valhalla Memorial Park.  Village Officials are strongly encouraging public supporters to carpool or ride share to the event.  There will be some limited parking at the Sunset Bar & Grill, Dollar General, Melville Dairy, and Clifton Country Inn.
