With the expansion of the 255 corridor, Godfrey officials have mentioned the desire to build a hotel in the village. They may be moving one step closer to that goal after hiring a Wisconsin based firm to do a market study of business in the area. Hospitality Marketers International Incorporated specializes in determining the feasibility of such ventures through due diligence when conducting market studies and operational analysis and they represent clients throughout the Midwest and Canada.

The study will cost the village $4,000 but will ultimately give officials a picture of what kind of hotel the area could support.
