Voters in Godfrey will have a chance to weigh in on funding for their fire department in the coming election. The Godfrey Fire Protection District has placed on the ballot a question of the special tax to pay for emergency and rescue crews and equipment to be increased not more than .10%.

Kambarian notes that the fire protection district is a separate entity from the village, so it doesn't share in any of the tax money the village collects.
