The Village of Godfrey hosts the 16th annual Arbor Day celebration on Saturday at Glazebrook Park.  The free event features activities for kids, outdoor yoga, a fishing derby and hot dogs and soda for lunch.  Arbor Day is from 8am to 1pm and will be held near the pond and concession stand.

The first 500 attendees will go home with a redbud tree seedling, and lunch will be served starting at 11:30am.  The memorial tree dedication takes place at Noon.
