A little more than a year ago, Godfrey hired the services of a marketing firm to help the village lure new business to town. North Star Destination Strategies has developed brands for more than 150 entities, and is in the process of doing the same in Godfrey. Much of the work is done, with the rollout of the new marketing strategy expected by the first of June.
The ultimate goal is to attract more businesses, residents and visitors to the area, according to Tom Long, chairman of the village’s Community Planning and Economic Development Committee.
