As work on Illinois 255 wraps up the Village of Godfrey is getting a jump start on planning for its future by putting together a plan that Godfrey can use to pitch its "brand" to new businesses looking at the village. Mayor Mike McCormick and other leaders have been working with North Star Destination Strategies for the last few months and are now reaching out to residents in hopes of learning more about how people perceive Godfrey.
Monica Bristow of the Riverbend Growth Association says this is a crucial step in the branding process.
To get that feedback, an open, educational presentation will be held this Tuesday, June 18th at Godfrey Village Hall. The meeting will start at 5:30 and will give residents a chance to learn more about the process and an opportunity to give the marketing firm any feedback on the plan and on the village.
