Thirteenth District congressional candidate David Gill is not conceding defeat just yet. Trailing by 13-hundred votes yesterday the Bloomington-area Democrat said in a statement he wants to ensure that no one who tried to vote is left out. Several media outlets have called the race won by his Republican counterpart Rodney Davis.
Clerks in Champaign and Macon counties say it's unlikely there are enough outstanding ballots to change Tuesday's result. Davis for his part is moving ahead with the process of preparing to take over the office that is being vacated by fellow Republican Tim Johnson.
