Children who have wound up in the juvenile justice syatem are often doomed to an adult life in the adult courts. That does not necessarily have to be the case, according to Madison County States Attorney Tom Gibbons. He says he would like to reorganize his office to better address the various issues kids in the courts have to deal with.
He says if a kid is in juvenile court, there is usually something else going on behind the scenes, so he wants to make sure his office is looking at the whol,e picture. Gibbons was re-elected to the State's Attorney's office last month in a battle with Republican Amy Sholar.
