The Godfrey Fire Protection District is closing out Fire Prevention Week with an open house today from 9am to 3pm. This year’s theme for the week is Hear the Beep Where you Sleep, Have a Working Smoke Alarm in Every Bedroom. The Alton Fire Department held its open house in observation of the week last Sunday. Godfrey Fire Protection District Chief Eric Kambarian tells The Big Z their open house will be similar to Alton’s but there will be some differences.
