The completion of the Corridor 67 project is years away, and currently is not even on the state’s multi-year plan.  The project was removed from the plan last year, which has local political and business leaders doing what they can to see it returned.

Mary Heitzig, CEO of the Jersey County Business Association, compares this situation to one that was addressed by a Quincy-area lawmaker decades ago.

Eventually, Illinois Route 67 will be expanded from the mostly 2-lane highway to 4-lanes from Godfrey to Rock Island.  You can find IDOT's U.S. 67 page here:
