The organizers of the Kick It 3v3 Midwest Regional Championships Soccer Tournament at Gordon Moore Park in Alton are expecting even bigger things from the region.  More than 3,000 people came to town for last year’s second annual event, so 2014 will see the sanctioning body increase the stature of the tourney.

Alton Regional Convention and Visitor's Bureau President Brett Stawar says they are excited about going into year three of the event, having been named one of three sites to host a Super Regional.  He says the parking fees will help offset costs and help out local soccer programs.

Kick It 3v3 soccer uses a small field with six players on the field at a time, and teams will include boys and girls, ages 6 to 19+.  The tournament will be held August 2-3.
