The price of gas in Illinois is up slightly. The statewide average for Illinois is now $3.90, according to the AAA Fuel Gauge report, up a nickel from a month ago. “We’ve entered into the summer demand season. Unfortunately, we don’t think that drivers can expect to see any relief at the pump anytime soon. Prices are going to remain high, we think, through some of the summer,” said Beth Mosher, spokesman for the AAA-Chicago Motor Club.
