Just like humans and animals, plants feel the stress of extended heat waves.  If your garden is suffering due to the extended run of 90-degree days, a local gardening expert says there are some things you can do to help your plants survive.

Asta Sadauskis, owner of The Greenery in Godfrey, tells The Big Z it takes a lot of TLC to keep some plants alive in this weather.

She says if the plants start to wilt, give them immediate attention.  But Sadauskis cautions that too much water at one time could harm the plants as well.
