The Discovery Garden is launching its 10th season, and will host a workshop for this year's gardeners on Sunday from 3-4pm. All gardeners will gain advice and learn of area resources on organic gardening. The $15 fee for your plot covers the 10' x 10' space at the garden, which organizers say can produce enough food to last through the spring, summer and fall.
The garden's Christine Favilla says if you are new to gardening, show up Sunday for the orientation.

A goal of the garden's parent organization, the Community Cultivators, is to spread the word about organic gardening and how it can be done successfully in this and other communities. The garden is located at LaVista Park on West Delmar Avenue. Two stone pillars mark the entrance to the park. For more information, call 462-6802.
