Bruce RaunerIt looks like money will play a major role in who's going to challenge Governor Quinn for his job.  Republican Bruce Rauner has pitched in 750-thousand-dollars to his own campaign, which triggered a law that allows all other candidates to defend themselves and raise money without limits.

Dave Morrison, with the Illinois Campaign for Political Reform, says that has the potential to get ugly.   The state received official word Rauner's cash infusion Friday and he has indeed exceeded the threshold for self-funding.  That means all fundraising is fair game, at least for the primary race.
