Roger EbertA fundraising campaign is under way to remember an Urbana native and  his love of movies.  The plan is to build a life-sized bronze sculpture of the late Roger Ebert and place it on the plaza outside the Virginia Theater in downtown Champaign.  Ebert died in April, two weeks before his annual film festival at the theater.
