A couple of events this month will help raise funds for causes that can benefit Brighton residents. Tonight is the 12th annual Southwestern School Foundation for Educational Excellence Dinner and Auction. It’s being held at The Commons at Lewis & Clark Community College at 6pm.
John Bramley, Parks & Safety Committee Member, says tickets are $25 per person and go toward helping high school students.

Later this month, the Brighton Memorial Library District will host the 5th annual “Chocolate Fever” fundraiser at the Brighton Municipal Building. It will be held from 2-4pm on Sunday, March 23. There will be a variety of chocolate delicacies, as well as a book sale and a gift card raffle.
Serving the areas of Alton, Godfrey, East Alton, Wood River, Roxana, Edwardsville, Jerseyville, Brighton, Bethalto, Grafton, Granite City, Hartford, Highland, Troy, Fairview Heights, Belleville and the surrounding cities.
